Are timepieces affected by static electricity?
- If a timepiece is subject to static electricity, for example when the atmosphere is dry in winter in Japan , it may display incorrect time or its electronic components may break. If your timepiece does not operate normally, we recommend asking for inspection (at cost).
Contact the customer service of the manufacturer.
- Liquid crystal displays of timepieces may become blurred temporary in the unlit part when subject to static electricity. This phenomenon has no effect on the functions.
The display image is restored after the static electricity has been discharged.
