- Total shipments of complete watches by Japanese manufacturers in 2024 (including shipments from overseas) were 49.7 million units, the same level as the previous year, and a value of 293.8 billion yen, up 5%.
- In terms of units by type, analogue quartz and digital quartz were flat, and mechanical was down by 3% from the previous year.
- As a reference, the total shipments of complete watches and watch movements in 2024 were 225.9 million units, up 1% on the previous year, and 339.8 billion yen in value, up 6%.

1-4 2024 World Distribution of Japanese Watch Exports
- Exports of complete watches by Japanese manufacturers in 2024 were 43.9 million units, down 1% on the previous year, and 188.6 billion yen in value, up 1%.
- In terms of the main export destinations for complete watches in value, Europe was up 4% on the previous year, while North America was down 5% and Asia down 10%.

- Domestic shipments of complete watches by Japanese manufacturers in 2024 were 5.9 million units, up 2% on the previous year, and 105.2 billion yen in value, up 14%.

- The figures exclude instrument panel clocks and clocks of a similar type for vehicles, aircraft, spacecraft, or vessels, and other (as in the previous year).
- Total shipments of complete clocks by Japanese manufacturers in 2024 (including shipments from overseas) were 5.3 million units, down 10% from the previous year, and 14.4 billion yen in value, down 7%.
- In terms of units by type, table clocks were down by 11% and wall clocks down by 9% from the previous year.
- As a reference, the total shipments of complete clocks and clock movements in 2024 were 6.4 million units, down 18% on the previous year, and 14.8 billion yen in value, down 7%.
